A few months later, on a beautiful sunny day in Cres, Croatia, Matej was out sailing with friends when, as he drifted gently over the water, he came across Myriam’s profile. He was immediately struck—not only by her beauty, but also by her love for God and the Christ-centered values they clearly shared. There was a sincerity in her desire to follow the Lord that deeply resonated with him. In that peaceful moment, with the wind in his sails, it felt as though God himself had guided him to her. As they began to speak, Myriam was equally struck by Matej’s gentle charm, his steady kindness, and the sincerity of a man who clearly loved the Lord. From their very first conversation, there was a peace and authenticity that felt different.

Surrounded by still waters and alpine views, he asked Myriam to be his partner. With a full heart, she said yes! They celebrated that evening over a beautiful dinner, quietly aware that this was only the beginning of their life together.
